Member Spotlight:

MathGPT was born in a Cornell dorm just a week before finals, when Nour and Yanni were unsatisfied with online math resources, so they created an AI tool to help them grasp complex math problems. With a simple UI and a few buttons, the two shared their platform to their friends and a few discord communities and MathGPT has been growing since with 425,000 signed-in users to date.

Nour, a Seattlite, and Yanni, an Orange County native, met in a Cornell engineering class and have since formed a strong technical team competing in over eight hackathons together. Over the past two years, they've clinched 1st place at the NASA Space Apps Challenge as Global Nominees, secured 1st place at UPenn's PennApps, won two Niantic hackathons and continue to keep building and hacking in their free time.

Prior to MathGPT, Nour leveraged her creative background to push the boundaries between art and technology, investing time in building AI powered augmented reality (AR) experiences. She has multiple publications in the art and poetry space and produces social media content bringing over 3.2M views from her posts. Yanni brings extensive experience in LLMs and web development, having led innovation efforts at Children's Health Hospital of Texas and was an early engineer at OpenRouter (HF0), an LLM aggregation platform that processes millions of requests and billions of tokens per day.

MathGPT is democratizing on-demand learning worldwide, aiming to provide access to high-quality educational support for every student. On the MathGPT platform, students instantly receive step-by-step solutions, interactive diagrams, and custom Khan Academy-style video explanations. MathGPT's novel video generation engine provides each student with their own on-demand video solution, enabling personalized learning at an unprecedented scale. MathGPT is reshaping the educational landscape, enabling students with access to tailored, visual explanations for any math, physics, or chemistry problem.
